Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity remains at a moderate level. The largest event since the last message was an M2.0 flare at 18:45 UT yesterday (11/18), produced by the target region, which has been numbered as NOAA 13901 (S07E56, beta-gamma/D-type). This region also produced an M1.8 flare and three C-class flares in the period. The Major Flare Watch shall remain effective with NOAA 13901 over the next 24 hours due to continued flux emergence. Additionally, regions near the southeast limb, NOAA 13889 (S09W88), 13897 (S12W69), and 13895 (S03W71), also produced two M1.1 flares and several C-class flares during the period. Further M-class flares are expected, with a chance of >M5 flares from the limb regions in the next 24-48 hours.
The position of NOAA 13901 on 19-Nov-2024 at 12:30 UT is:
S07E56 (-800",-140")
