Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity remains at a low level. NOAA region 12286 displayed the greatest flare activity in the past 24 hours, producing C-class events (a C1.1 on 19-Feb-2015 at 17:42 UT and a C1.5 on 20-Feb-2015 at 10:01 UT). However, this region has now rotated up to the South West limb. Yesterday’s target, NOAA 12287, has maintained spot area and increased marginally in number of spots, remaining classified as a beta/D-type sunspot group. This region also displayed activity since yesterday’s message, producing a B6.1 flare on 20-Feb-2015 at 01:06 UT. Further B-class flares are expected over the next 24 hour period, with a reasonable chance for further low C-class activity.
The position of NOAA 12287 on 20-Feb-2015 at 13:00 UT is:
N14E01, ( -14”, 349” )
