Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is moderate. Target NOAA 13234 has grown in terms of spot area and number of spots since the last message and has increased in complexity to be classified as a beta-gamma/E-type sunspot group. The largest magnitude flare in the period was an M1.5 on 23-Feb-2023 at 06:11 UT, produced by a new sunspot group that is emerging slightly ahead of target region NOAA 13234 (but has not been numbered by NOAA yet). NOAA 13234 has continued to be flare-productive since the last message, being the source of multiple C-class flares and an M1.0 on 23-Feb-2023 at 08:32 UT. The Major Flare Watch will continue with NOAA 13234 as the target for at least another 24 hours. Further M-class flares are probable in the following 24-hour period, with a chance for a low X-class flare.
The position of NOAA 13234 on 23-Feb-2023 at 15:00 UT is:
N25E39 , ( -554", 493" )
