Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues to be at a very low level. The largest event since the last message was a C3.3 flare at 08:56 UT today produced by a limb region NOAA 14135 (S08W85, alpha/A-type), which is rotating over the west limb. The target region NOAA 14136 produced seven ~C2 flares during the period, the largest one being a C2.6 at 06:51 UT today. 14136 has decayed to a beta-gamma/D-type configuration but retains its sunspot area and number of spots. Today we will continue to watch this region. Further C-class activities are expected in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 14136 on July 19 at 11:30 UT is:
N21W57 (740", 298")
