Dear Collaborators,
The Major Flare Watch region NOAA 12975 was the source of an M4.3 flare at 04/02/17:34 UT. An M3.9 flare (at 04/02/12:56 UT) was also produced by a newly numbered region NOAA 12984 (N12W71, beta/D-type), just nearby 12975. Now 12975 has been classified as a beta-delta/E-type region and is rotating over the west limb. We will continue the Major Flare Watch on NOAA 12975 (and also 12984) for another 24 hours. A major flare or a low M-class flare is still likely in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 12975 on April 3 at 03:30 UT is:
N15W80 (913", 264")
