Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity on the disk(the Earth facing side) has been low since the last message. The largest event in the past 24 hours was a C5.1 flare at 12:04 UT today(10/22) from the target region, NOAA 13863.
However, the GOES/XRS 1-8A flux had maintained ~C4 level for more than 10 hours after the over-the-limb C6.2 flare yesterday(07:54 UT on 10/21) due to the well developed post flare loops above the Southeast limb. The region produced the flare is still behind the limb, but we will observe the Southeast limb region as the new default target for the next 24 hours. Additional C class flares or larger are expected.
The position of the target on 22-October-2024 at 15:00 UT is: S13E83 (-930",-234").
