Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has increased since the last message. The largest event was an M6.5 flare at 06:48 UT today produced by the target region NOAA 13854. 13854 also produced three low M-class flares, two M4.8 and an M1.1, during the period. At this time we are implementing the Major Flare Watch campaign, although 13854 is rotating over the west limb and retains a beta-gamma/E-type configuration. Further low M-class activities are expected with some chance of another major flare (>M5) in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 13854 on October 19 at 07:30 UT is:
S06W79 (940", -117")
