Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has slightly increased since the last message. The largest event during the period was a C6.1 flare at 14:39 UT yesterday from NOAA 14199 (N04W43, beta/C-type). The target region, NOAA 14197 (S18W59), retains a beta–gamma/E-type configuration but has shown decreases in sunspot area and number as it rotates toward the west limb. 14197 produced ten C-class flares during the period, including C4.2 and C4.9 flares yesterday. Today, we will continue to watch this region. Additional C-class activity is expected in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 14197 on 3-Sep-2025 at 11:30 UT is:
S18W59 (776",-350")
