MM#009 Default Target
Dear Collaborators,
Target region NOAA 3056 (S17E45) was the source of a C7.6 at 07/12/03:28 UT. It was the largest event since the last message but 3056 has now decayed losing its small magnetic delta configuration and penumbral area within its trailing spots. The target will switch to NOAA 3055 today. 3055 added a few opposite polarity spots within the intermediate portion of its large E-type/beta sunspot group. 3055 has only been able to produce minor C-class events but if growth continues, especially in its intermediate area, M-class activity is possible in the next 24-48 hours.
The position of NOAA 3055 on July 12 at 15:30 UT is: S16W04 (Solar X = 063", Solar Y = -324")
