MM#009 Default Target
Dear Collaborators,
The visible solar disk is spotless and plageless and nearly featureless. Today's target will be a small filament fragment located in the southern polar zone. The filament is currently quiescent and stable. Deep solar minimum conditions are expected to continue.
The position of the target on July 18 at 09:15 UT is: S49E37 (Solar X = -374", Solar Y = 672")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
