Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has slightly increased since the last message. The largest event in the period was an M4.8 flare at 16:12 UT yesterday, produced by the target region NOAA 13947 (N11E12). This region maintains a beta-gamma-delta configuration, with a slight increase in the sunspot area and number of spots. 13947 also produced several C-class flares in the period. Today the Major Flare Watch shall remain with 13947 for a further 24 hours, due to the possibility of an >M5 flare.
The position of NOAA 13947 on 7-Jan-2025 at 08:30 UT is:
N11E12 (-199",247")
