Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The current level of solar activity is moderate. Over the previous 24 hours, yesterday's target (NOAA 11890) was the source of a number of C-class events and a M2.5 flare on 5-Nov-2013 at 08:18 UT, followed by a C8.0 flare at 11:58 UT. The region is now classified as a beta-gamma-delta magnetic configuration. The M2.5 and C8.0 events occurred over the region's mixed polarity spot, which is present in the trailing portion. The spot shows some evidence for shearing within its polarity separation line, and has not weakened significantly over the previous 24 hours. Further high C-class activity is expected, while further M-class activity is possible.
The position of NOAA 11890 on 5-Nov-2013 at 18:00 UT is: S09E39, ( -604", -202" )
