Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity remains at a low level. The largest event since the last message was a C7.7 flare at 21:11 UT yesterday from NOAA 14172 (N09W80), which also produced additional low C-class and high B-class flares during its approach to the northwest limb. NOAA 14172 is undergoing significant flux emergence in its trailing portion and will remain the target region today, with further C-class activity likely and a slight chance of a low M-class flare within the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 14172 on 16-Aug-2025 at 11:30 UT is:
N09W80 (922",128")
