MM#009 Default Target
Dear Collaborators,
The old cycle 24 target region increased its sunspot count and area since the last message. Its tiny sunspot group is now a B-type/beta class but maybe starting to decay in its leading polarity portion. The region was the source of B-class events in the past 24 hour period. Additional B-class events possible in the next 24 hours if the region doesn't decay.
The position of the target on October 01 at 11:45 UT is: S09E70 (Solar X = -891", Solar Y = -187")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
