Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has slightly increased since the last message. Several C-class flares were produced, the largest being a C5.6 from NOAA 13590 at 11:13 UT today. NOAA 13590 remains classified as a beta-gamma-delta, however it has further reduced in area and flux over the last 24 hours and has shown relatively little dynamism in sunspot behaviour. At this time we are ending the Major Flare Watch. NOAA 13590 will remain the target region for the next 24 hours. Further C-class activity is expected, with a slight chance for an isolated low M-class flare.
The position of NOAA 13590 on 28-Feb-2024 at 12:30 UT is:
N18W47, (675",376")
