Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been at a high-to-low level. The largest event since the last message was an M8.9 flare at 16:18 UT yesterday from the target region NOAA 14098. This region also produced four low-to-mid C-class flares. 14098 has grown in spot maturity to display larger penumbrae on its leading portion, changing it to a beta-gamma/D-type magnetic configuration. Today the Major Flare Watch will remain in effect with NOAA 14098. More low-M activity is probable, with a chance for a >M5 flare in the following 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 14098 on 26-May-2025 at 11:30 UT is:
S04W64 (850", -56")
