Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity remains at a low level. The largest event since the last message was a C3.6 flare at 08:05 UT today produced by NOAA 14136. 14136 has been designated as a beta-delta/ D-type region, increasing in the sunspot area and number of spots. This region also produced eight ~C2 flares during the period. Today the target will switch to this region. Yesterday's target 14142 (N01E01, beta-gamma/D-type) has been flare quiet after producing the C2.9 flare at 13:09 UT yesterday. Additional C-class activities are expected in the following 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 14136 on July 18 at 11:30 UT is:
N21W44 (613", 286")
