Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has remained low. The largest event since the last message was a C8.8 flare at 13:25 UT yesterday, produced by NOAA 14355 (S12E11, beta/C-type). Yesterday’s target NOAA 14349 has been flare-quiet during the period and has decreased in sunspot area and number of spots. NOAA 14351 produced a number of C-class flares during the period, including a C5.0 flare. Today, we will switch the target to NOAA 14351 due to its ongoing significant flux emergence. Additional C-class activity is expected over the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 14351 on 27-Jan-2026 12:30 UT is:
S05W54 (787",-28")
