Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has grown to a high level. The largest event since the last message was an M8.2 flare at 23:31 UT yesterday from the target region NOAA 14100. It retained a beta-gamma/E-type sunspot group and increased in sunspot area to 440 μh. The target shall remain with NOAA 14100, although we are issuing a Major Flare Watch alert at this time due to the increased possibility of another >M5 flare within the next 24-48 hours.
The position of NOAA 14100 on 31-May-2025 at 07:30 UT is:
N08E10 (-163", 144")
