Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has grown to an intermediate level since the last message. The largest event was a C7.4 flare at 06:06 UT today from NOAA 14334. This region emerged as the most productive, generating a total of eight flares. It degenerated into a unipolar sunspot group and showed signs of fragmentation during the period. Today 14334 becomes the new target. Yesterday’s target NOAA 14323 (S17W76, beta/D-type) was the source of only one low-C flare as it rotated toward the southwest limb. Further C-class activity is possible over the coming 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 14334 on 7-Jan-2025 12:30 UT is:
S15E13 (-212", -192")
