Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been at a low-to-moderate level since the last message. The largest event during this period was an M1.0 flare at 19:54 UT yesterday, attributed to target NOAA 14048 (S16W19). However, a flare from NOAA 14046 (N06W39, alpha/H-type) also contributed to the soft X-ray flux. 14048 retains a beta-gamma configuration and produced four additional low C-class flares in the period. Today, the target will remain with this region. NOAA 14043 has almost rotated beyond the west limb and produced two C-class flares in the period, the largest being a C4.7. Please note that a newly emerged region, NOAA 14054 (S13E06, beta/ C-type), is undergoing significant magnetic flux emergence. Further C-class activity is expected, with a chance of additional low M-class flares in the following 24 hours.
