MM#009 Default Target
Dear Collaborators,
The visible solar disk continues to be spotless. The filament/prominence target has completed west limb passage. The new target will be a tiny EFR with reversed polarities. The EFR is currently spotless but it is possible for pores to develop in the next 24 hour period.
The position of the target on January 23 at 13:30 UT is: S09W10 (Solar X = 168", Solar Y = -065")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
