Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity remains at a moderate-high level. Several flares were produced, the largest being an M2.4 from NOAA 13842 at 23:10 UT yesterday. While no large flares were produced in the last 24 hours, NOAA 13842 has continued to grow in area, reaching 1040 μh as it begins its transit of the southwest limb. Significant flux is present surrounding this region. The Major Flare Watch will be extended while NOAA 13842 remains on the disk. Further C- and M-class activity is expected, with a chance for an isolated >M5 event in the next 24-48 hours.
The position of NOAA 13842 on 6-October-2024 at 11:30 UT is:
S14W42, (624",-308")
