Dear Collaborators,
The Solar activity continued to be at a moderate level since the last message. The largest event in the last 24 hours was an M1.5 flare at 10:04 UT today(4/15) from a region behind the Northeast limb. The target region NOAA 14055 produced more than 10 low-to-mid C class flares and completed the limb passage yesterday. At this time we will close the Major Flare Watch campaign on NOAA 14055.
The region produced an M1.5 flare is still behind the limb but showing rapid intensity fluctuations in EUV wavelengths, observed as a few low-C class flares after the M1.5 event. Today we will observe the Northeast limb over this unnumbered region as the default target. Additional C class flares are expected with a chance of another M class event.
The position of the Northeast limb region on 15-April-2025 at 16:00 UT is: N09E88 (-943", 157").
