Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity continues at the low C-level. NOAA 11542 has remained relatively quiescent over the past 24 hours. There is a new active region rapidly emerging near the south pole that has already produced a number of low C-class flares which shall be the new target region. The region is unnumbered as yet but has a simple bipolar configuration and is likely to produce further low-to-intermediate level activity as it continues to develop.
The position of the target region on 9-Aug-2012 at 09:00 UT is:
S28E02, ( -33", -536" )
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
