Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is low-to-moderate. NOAA region 11967 has maintained spot area and number of spots over the past 24 hours. This region is classified as a beta-gamma-delta/F-type sunspot group, with significant strong delta spots still present in the trailing portion. The background X-ray flux has decreased along with flare magnitude and flare frequency. However, 11967 was again the source of the largest flare in the past 24 hours (an M1.3 on 5-Feb-2014 at 16:11 UT). The MM#003 Major Flare Watch will remain in effect for at least the next 24 hours, as NOAA 11967 retains the capacity to produce a flare above the M5 level.
The position of NOAA 11967 on 6-Feb-2014 at 14:00 UT is:
S12W46, ( 683", -128" )
