Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity remains low since the last message. The largest event in the last 24 hours was a C2.3 flare at 12:48 UT today(3/9) from from NOAA 14381. This region also produced 3 low-C class flares since yesterday, but is showing a sign of decay.
Yesterday's target, rorated from the Northeast limb, was assigned the number as NOAA 14387. Two low-C class flares are attributed to this region, but one of them is from closer to the limb, suggesting a separate region is rotating from the Northeast limb.
Today, we will continue to observe NOAA 14387 at the area of trailing sunspots, the source of the C1.7 event at 08:01 UT today. Additional C class events are expected.
The position of the target in NOAA 14387 on 9-March-2026 at 16:30 UT is: N09E59 (-820", 220").
