Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues at a low-intermediate level. A number of flares were produced over the last 24 hours, the largest being a C6.5 from NOAA 13967 at 22:27 UT yesterday. The group of active regions in the northeast quadrant continues to show signs of sunspot development and flux emergence. While NOAA 13977 will continue as the target region, attention should also be paid to the two additional regions in close proximity to NOAA 13977. Further C-class activity is expected in the coming 24 hours, with a slight chance of isolated low M-class activity.
The position of NOAA 13977 on 30-January-2025 at 12:30 UT is:
N19E49, (-696", 378") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
