Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a low-intermediate level. Several flares were produced in the last 24 hours. The largest being an M2.7 from NOAA 13977 at 07:44 UT today. NOAA 13981 continues to grow in sunspot area and has strong emerging flux. However, its level of sunspot dynamism appears to be reducing. As NOAA 13981 continues to produce flares and remains complex, the Major Flare Watch will be extended for a further 24 hours. Additional C-class activity is likely with a slight chance for isolated >M5.0 events in the next 24-48 hours.
The position of NOAA 13981 on 05-February-2025 at 12:30 UT is:
N07W10, (168", 223")
