MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Target region NOAA 2671 continues in growth phase adding sunspot area and sunspot count especially within its intermediate and trailing portions. 2671 is currently a large E-type/beta region with some minor mixed polarities. 2671 was the source of numerous B-type events in the past 24 hours. B- and C-class events probable with the slight chance of an isolated M-class event if growth continues to result in increased magnetic complexity.
The position of NOAA 2671 on August 16 at 14:45 UT is: N12E55 (Solar X = -761", Solar Y = 134")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
