Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been elevated to a moderate level since the last message due to the flare activities from the region on the Southeast limb. Although the sunspot associated with this region is not clearly seen yet, this region has produced more than 20 low- to mid-C class flares in the past 24 hours, with the largest being an M2.3 flare, just occurred at 15:35 UT today (2/25).
There is a middle-sized sunspot rotated from the Northeastern limb, which appears to be the returned NOAA 14366, the region produced an X8.1 flare on 2/1. However, currently no flare is reported from this Northeastern region.
Today we will continue to observe the Southeast limb region which has no number assigned yet. Additional mid-C to low-M class events are expected.
The position of the target on 25-February-2026 at 17:00 UT is: S20E87 (-907", -333").
