Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity remains at low levels. The largest event since the last message was a C4.4 flare at 07:35 UT today from a southeast limb region (unnumbered yet). This region also produced 6 low-C flares and was the most productive. Today the target region will switch to this limb region because of its recent higher frequency of flaring. Yesterday’s target NOAA 13409 (N22W77, beta/B-type) has only produced a low-C flare with signs of decay. In addition, some active regions (NOAA 13406, NOAA 13407, NOAA 13403) and another unnumbered region (N09E82) also produced a few low-C flares. More C-class activities are probable in the following 24-hour period.
The approximate position of the target on 21-Aug-2023 at 11:30 UT is:
S09E87 (-900", -150")
