Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues at a moderate level. The largest event since the last message was an M2.4 flare at 04:53 UT today produced by NOAA 13854. 13854 also produced an M1.3 flare and five C-class flares. It now has been designated as a beta- gamma-delta/E-type configuration. Today we will watch this region. Yesterday's target NOAA 13852 also produced two low M-class flares, an M1.5 and M1.3, and has been degraded to a beta- gamma/C-type configuration. If possible, please also include 13852 (S11W55) in your field of view. Note that another region, NOAA 13856 (N10W09, beta-gamma-delta/D-type), produced an M1.0 and three C-class flares. Further low M-class flares are expected in the next 24-hour period.
The position of NOAA 13854 on October 17 at 07:30 UT is:
S06W51 (745", -160")
