Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The level solar activity moderate. NOAA 12529 initially underwent some growth before continuing to decay over the past 24 hours. This region is still classified as a beta-gamma/E-type sunspot group, although it now appears to have lost its mixed polarity gamma configuration. NOAA 12529 produced the largest event since the last message, a M6.7 flare on 18-Apr-2016 at 00:14 UT. At this point we are NOT implementing a Major Flare Watch because NOAA 12529 appears to have simplified in its magnetic classification after producing the M6.7 flare. C-class flares are expected over the following 24 hours, with a slight chance for a low M-class event.
The position of NOAA 12529 on 18-Apr-2016 at 16:00 UT is:
N10W61, ( 823", 208" )
