Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a low level. The small flux region that began emerging spots yesterday has now been designated as NOAA 12928 and is classed as a beta/D-type sunspot group, but has remained flare quiet. The target region over the North East limb is now close to rotating onto the visible disk. This has continued to be the most flare-active region with producing 2 C-class flares since the last message, a C1.8 and a C2.9 on 13-Jan-2022 at 01:51 UT and 11:18 UT, respectively. This limb-crossing location continues as the target for the next 24 hours, with further C-class activity probable.
The approximate position of this region on 13-Jan-2022 at 20:30 UT is:
N32E90 , ( -827", 515" )
