Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a moderate level. Target NOAA 13243 has now rotated up to the North West limb, and although still classified as a beta/D-type sunspot group at the start of the UT day this will have been significantly hampered by foreshortening effects. NOAA 13243 continued to produce C-class events in the period but the largest magnitude flare was an M1.0 on 6-Mar-2023 at 17:24 UT from NOAA 13242. The MM#003 Major Flare Watch will continue for a further 24 hours on the limb-exiting location of NOAA 13243 while its high-lying loops are still visible. More C-class activity is expected over the next 24 hours, with a chance for M-class flares.
The limb-exiting position of NOAA 13243 on 7-Mar-2023 at 19:30 UT is:
N18W90 , ( 919", 296" )
