Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a low-to-moderate level. The unnumbered target pore region has grown slightly since the last message and now shows pores in both its leading and trailing polarities. This region has remained flare-quiet in the past 24 hours but NOAA 12840 continued flaring from beyond the North West limb, producing three foot-point occulted C-class flares (the largest being a C7.0 on 9-Jul-2021 at 10:31 UT). The high-lying loops of NOAA 12840 are now rotating out of view, so the target remains on the pore region in the South East quadrant. B-class activity is probable over the following 24 hours.
The approximate position of this region on 9-Jul-2021 at 21:00 UT is:
S19E65 , ( -810", -332" )
