Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity has increased due to an M5.6 flare at 15:26 UT yesterday from the target region NOAA 13883. 13883 has continued to grow in spot maturity to display an irregular distribution on both polarities and well-developed penumbrae on its following portion, changing it to a gamma-delta/E-type magnetic configuration. Therefore, we are initiating a Major Flare Watch campaign at this time, with an increased probability of another >M5 flare in the coming 24-48 hours.
The position of NOAA 13883 on 5-Nov-2024 at 08:30 UT is:
S06E32 (-511", -157")
