Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has increased to a moderate level since the last message. The target NOAA 13712 (S24E16) remains the most flare-productive region on disk, being the source of approximately thirty C-class flares and the largest magnitude flare in the period - an M1.3 at 06:00 UT today. 13712 has now developed into a beta-gamma-delta region, with an increase in sunspot area and number of spots. This region continues to show signs of emerging flux and dynamic sunspot behaviour in its intermediate portion. At this time, we are implementing a Major Flare Watch campaign on NOAA 13712 due to the possibility of an isolated
M5 flare.
The position of NOAA 13712 on 15-Jun-2024 at 15:30 UT is:
S24E16 (-238",-401")
