Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is currently moderate. NOAA 12822 has remained classified as a beta/C-type sunspot group and continued to produce C-class flares since the last message (the largest being a C4.0 flare on 9-May-2021 at 13:38 UT. The MM#003 Major Flare Watch will continue for another day due to the compact quadrupolar magnetic structure that target region NOAA 12822 displays. Further C-class flares are expected in the next 24 hours, with a chance for another M-class flare.
The position of NOAA 12822 on 9-May-2021 at 22:00 UT is:
N18E45 , ( -640", 330" )
