Dear Collaborators, Solar activity remains at a low level. A small number of flares were produced over the last 24 hours, the largest being a C2.1 from NOAA 14407 at 04:48 UT today. NOAA 14405 is now classified as a beta-gamma type region as it progresses further onto the disk. At present this region remains relatively quiet, with low levels of emerging flux. However, for now, this region will remain the target region. Further C-class activity is expected in the next 24 hours. The position of NOAA 14405 on 29-March-2026 at 15:30 UT is S26E46, (-622", -349") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan. Dear Collaborators, Solar activity remains consistent. The target region has now been assigned as NOAA 14405 and this region produced the largest flare of the last 24 hours - an M1.3 at 02:16 UT today. This region is currently classified as a beta-type region and currently shows relatively stable sunspot activity. The target region will continue as NOAA 14405, with further C-class activity expected in the next 24 hours and a slight chance for further isolated M-class events. The position of NOAA 14405 on 28-March-2026 at 16:30 UT is S25E56, (-723", -347") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan. Dear Collaborators, Solar activity levels remain consistent. A number of flares were produced from a currently unnumbered active region beyond the southeastern limb, the largest being a partially occulted C5.4 at 09:48 UT today. NOAA 14403 has remained relatively quiet since the last message. Given the activity extending from the region about the southeastern limb, the target region will switch to the southeastern limb. Further C-class activity is expected in the next 24 hours. The approximate position of the target region on 27-March-2026 at 12:30 UT is: S22E76, (-865", -334") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan. Dear Collaborators, Solar activity persists at a low level. Several flares were produced since the last message, the largest being an M3.9 from a newly numbered active region, NOAA 14403, at 06:11 UT today. NOAA 14403 is currently positioned about the northeastern limb, and while this region is currently classified as an alpha type region, it may develop as it progresses across the solar disk. As this region has been the most productive in the last 24 hours the target region will switch to NOAA 14403. Further C-class activity is expected, with the chance for additional isolated M-class flares in the next 24 hours. The position of NOAA 14403 on 26-March-2026 at 08:30 UT is N16E62, (-817", 315") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan. Dear Collaborators, Solar activity continues at the C-level. The largest event since the last message was a C7.3 flare at 17:18 UT yesterday from beyond the northeast limb. NOAA 14401 in the northeast quadrant has continued to develop. It has produced several low C-flares and is now classified as a beta-gamma region. NOAA 14401 shall be the new target region with further low-level activity likely. The position of NOAA 14401 on 25-Mar-2026 at 20:30 UT is: N25E26, ( -383", 498" ) See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan. Dear Collaborators, Solar activity continues at a low level. The largest flares produced in the last 24 hours were a pair of C1.2 flares from NOAA 13498 at 17:05 UT yesterday and NOAA 14401 at 17:42 UT yesterday, respectively. NOAA 14400 has changed complexity since the last message and is now classified as a beta-delta type region. The region still shows some sunspot dynamism despite the lack of flare production. NOAA 14400 will continue as the target region for now, with a chance for C-class activity in the next 24 hours. The position of NOAA 14400 on 24-March-2026 at 12:30 UT is S12W47, (690", -121") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan. Dear Collaborators, Solar activity is at a low level. A small number of flares were produced in the last 24 hours, the largest being a C3.2 from NOAA 14392 at 00:24 UT today. A new active region has emerged on the solar disk and is numbered as NOAA 14400. This region has a beta-gamma-delta configuration and has demonstrated notable aspects of dynamic sunspot activity since its emergence. The target region will switch to NOAA 14400 for the next 24 hours, with C-class activity expected and potentially more as the region develops. The position of NOAA 14400 on 23-March-2026 at 12:30 UT is S12W32, (500", -102") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan. Dear Collaborators, Solar activity has been at a low level. The largest event since the last message was a C1.2 flare at 15:58 UT yesterday from NOAA 14399. This region also produced three high-B flares. It has been classified as an alpha/H-type sunspot group as it rotated onto the disk. Today, the target should switch to 14399. Yesterday’s target, NOAA 14392, has become flare quiet during the period. B-class activity is expected, with another low-C flare likely in the following 24 hours. The position of NOAA 14399 on 22-Mar-2026 12:30 UT is: S17E75 (-890", -250") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan. Dear Collaborators, Solar activity has dropped to a very low level since the last message. The largest event was a B7.3 flare at 22:19 UT yesterday from the target region NOAA 14392. This region still shows a beta-gamma/C-type magnetic configuration and remains the largest sunspot area on the disk. Today, the target shall continue at this region. Elsewhere, two regions including NOAA 14397 (N17E50, beta/C-type) in the northeast quadrant produced three low-to-mid B-class flares. B-class activity is expected, with a low-C flare likely in the next 24 hours. The position of NOAA 14392 on 20-Mar-2026 08:30 UT is: S17W31 (476", -183") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan. Dear Collaborators, The level of solar activity was low in the past 24 hours. The target region NOAA 14392 remained highly productive, producing multiple low-C and B-class flares, with the largest event being a C3.6 at 12:53 UT yesterday. Despite showing a slight decay in its sunspot area and number, the region has maintained its beta-gamma/C-type magnetic complexity. Further C-class flares are expected, with a chance for a low-M flare in the coming days. The position of NOAA 14392 on 19-Mar-2026 12:30 UT is: S17W19 (301", -173") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
