Solar activity has increased to a high level since the last message.
NOAA 13873 located at the Eastern most of the active region group
(made of NOAAs 13869, 13872 and 13873) produced an X1.9 flare at
06:32 UT today(10/26) following an M9.5 event at 05:58 UT associated
with a filament eruption from the South side of this region.
NOAA 13863 is the smallest (120 millionths) and classified as a beta
type, but has repeated eruptions observed in EUV wavelengths during
the past 24 hours. We will continue the Major Flare Watch campaign
with the target shifted to the South side of NOAA 13873. Additional
M class flares or larger are expected in the next 24-48 hours.
The position of the target in NOAA 13873 on 26-October-2024 at
15:30 UT is: S12E54 (-771",-253").

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been at a moderate level after the X3.3 flare
yesterday. Out of two bipolars mentioned in yesterday's message,
the one on the east was given a new number, NOAA 13872. There
is another bipolar region located in the Northeast of the two and
designated as NOAA 13873, which produced an M1.2 flare at 07:23
UT today(10/25). These regions are still close to the limb and hard
to determine the magnetic connectivity, or pairing of the sunspots.
Active regions NOAA 13869, 13872 and 13873 constitute an active
region group with complex magnetic configuration and has been a
source of large flares in the past 24-48 hours and will continue
to be so for the next 24-48 hours. In the next 24 hours, we will
continue the Major Flare Watch on the center area of this active
region group (NOAA 13872) where new flux emergence is observed.
Additional M class events are expected with the chance of a major
(>M5) flare.
The position of the target in NOAA 13872 on 25-October-2024 at
16:30 UT is: S18E60 (-795",-340").

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has increased to a moderate-to-high level since the
last message. The target region, now designated as NOAA 13869, has
produced an X3.3 flare at 03:30 UT today(10/24) followed by an M1.2
flare at 10:22 UT and a C6.4 at 12:42 UT. At this time, we will
implement a Major Flare Watch campaign on NOAA 13969.
NOAA 13969 consists of at least two pairs of bipolar sunspots and
the X3.3 flare was initiated by a filament eruption located at the
center area of the two bipolar system. We will observe the area
between the two bipolars for the next 24 to 48 hours, expecting
additional major flares larger than M5.

15:00 UT is: S18E66 (-841",-333").

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been at a low-to-moderate level since the last
message. The largest event in the past 24 hours was a C7.9 flare
at 11:37 UT today(10/23) from NOAA 13863.
Yesterday's target now rotated from the Southeast limb appears to
be a bi-polar spot, but is yet to have a NOAA number. This region
produced a few mid-C class flares including a C5.1 at 00:07 UT
today(10/23), and is showing frequent eruptive features observed
in the EUV 304A. We will continue to observe this region (center
of 2 sunspots) for the next 24 hours. Additional C class flares
or larger are expected.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity on the disk(the Earth facing side) has been low since
the last message. The largest event in the past 24 hours was a C5.1
flare at 12:04 UT today(10/22) from the target region, NOAA 13863.
However, the GOES/XRS 1-8A flux had maintained ~C4 level for more
than 10 hours after the over-the-limb C6.2 flare yesterday(07:54 UT
on 10/21) due to the well developed post flare loops above the
Southeast limb. The region produced the flare is still behind the
limb, but we will observe the Southeast limb region as the new default
target for the next 24 hours. Additional C class flares or larger are
expected.

S13E83 (-930",-234").

Solar activity has been at a low level since the last message.
There were several C-class flares during the past 24 hours with the
largest being a C6.2 event from behind the Southeast limb.
NOAA 13863 showed new flux emergence in the East of the main
(negative) sunspot yesterday and has produced several C class flares
including a C5.0 flare at 22:42 UT on 10/20. We will observe the NOAA
13863 on the area of newly emerged spots as the default target for
the next 24 hours. Additional C class events are expected.

Solar activity has decreased to a low level since the last message.
The largest event during the period was an M1.7 flare at 14:27 UT
on October 19 produced by the target region NOAA 13854. 13854
was also the source of three C-class flares. It has almost rotated
over the west limb. We will watch this region for a final 24 hours but
are ending the Major Flare Watch campaign at this time. C-class
activities are expected in the next 24 hours.

Solar activity has increased since the last message. The largest event
was an M6.5 flare at 06:48 UT today produced by the target region
NOAA 13854. 13854 also produced three low M-class flares, two M4.8
and an M1.1, during the period. At this time we are implementing the
Major Flare Watch campaign, although 13854 is rotating over the west
limb and retains a beta-gamma/E-type configuration. Further low M-class
activities are expected with some chance of another major flare (>M5)
in the next 24 hours.

Solar activity has been at a low level. The largest event since
the last message was a C6.6 flare at 14:07 UT yesterday from
NOAA 13860. 13860 just emerged yesterday and was designated
as a beta/D-type configuration. The target region NOAA 13854
produced two C-class flares (C5.7 and C3.8) today and has been
downgraded to a beta-gamma/E-type region. 13854 will remain
as the target today before it rotates over the west limb. C-class
activities are expected from various regions in the next 24 hours.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity continues at a moderate level. The largest event
since the last message was an M2.4 flare at 04:53 UT today
produced by NOAA 13854. 13854 also produced an M1.3 flare
and five C-class flares. It now has been designated as a beta-
gamma-delta/E-type configuration. Today we will watch this region.
Yesterday's target NOAA 13852 also produced two low M-class
flares, an M1.5 and M1.3, and has been degraded to a beta-
gamma/C-type configuration. If possible, please also include
13852 (S11W55) in your field of view. Note that another region,
NOAA 13856 (N10W09, beta-gamma-delta/D-type), produced
an M1.0 and three C-class flares. Further low M-class flares are
expected in the next 24-hour period.
