Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has dropped to an intermediate level over the past
24 hours. There are three ~C9 flares produced by three regions.
The largest flare in the period was a C9.6 at 18:28 UT yesterday
from a small newly-emerged region (unnumbered yet). NOAA
13932 (beta-gamma-delta/E-type, S17W15) also was a source
of a C9.5 flare at 07:53 UT today. The target region NOAA 13938
produced a C9.0 flare at 00:44 UT today. 13938 has developed a
weak delta to a beta-gamma-delta/E-type magnetic configuration
as it emerged new visible magnetic fluxes surrounding its main
spots. Today the Major Flare Watch shall remain with 13938 for a
further 24 hours. Further C-class activity is expected, with a chance
for an isolated >M5 flare in the coming 24 hours.

The level of solar activity has continued to be high since the
last message. The largest event was an M7.3 flare at 02:52 UT
today from NOAA 13938. This region also produced an M3.1
flare at 23:59 UT yesterday and retains a beta-gamma/D-type
classification, with the emergence of new spots. Yesterday’s
target NOAA 13932 (beta-gamma/F-type, S18W06) was flare
quiet during the period. Today the Major Flare Watch shall
switch to 13938 from 13932. Additional low-M activity is probable,
with a good opportunity for another >M5 flare in the coming days.

Solar activity has returned to a high level since the last message.
The target region NOAA 13932 produced the largest event in the
period – an M5.0 at 04:46 UT today. 13932 lost the delta configuration
to be confirmed as a beta-gamma/F-type sunspot group, with signs
of decay in its leading portion. Today the Major Flare Watch will
continue as NOAA 13932. Note that NOAA 13838 (beta-gamma/D-type,
N20E61) was the most productive over the period as it rotated on
disk, including its largest magnitude being an M2.9 at 04:14 today.
More low-M activity is very likely, with a chance for an isolated >M5
flare in the next 24 hours.

The level of solar activity has decreased slightly. The two largest
events since the last message were an M4.7 flare at 00:14 UT
and an M4.1 flare at 08:28 UT today from the target region NOAA
13932. This region became fragmented somewhat but this led to
increasing its magnetic complexity to a beta-gamma-delta/F-type
classification. Today the Major Flare Watch will remain in effect
with NOAA 13932. More low-M activity is probable, with a chance
for an isolated >M5 flare in the coming 24 hours.

Solar activity has reached a high level, due to an M8.9 flare at
11:06 UT today from the target region NOAA 13932. It has
developed a delta to be designated as a beta-gamma/E-type
magnetic configuration, with a spot area of 480 μh. 13932 shall
continue as the target region, but we are issuing a Major Flare
Watch alert at this time due to the increased possibility of another
>M5 flare within the next 24-48 hours.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity remains at a moderate level in the last 24 hours.
The target region NOAA 13932 produced the largest flares in
the period - an M1.1 at 04:03 UT today and two C9.6 at 22:58 UT
yesterday and at 10:21 UT today. 13932 has emerged additional
spots and increased in its spot area to be classified as a beta/E-type
sunspot group. To the North West of 13932, NOAAs 13928
(beta/D-type, S14E27) and 13933 (beta/D-type, S08E27) also
produced four >C5 flares. Today the target shall continue as
13932, and please also include NOAAs 13928 and 13933 in the
field of view if possible. Note that another active region NOAA
13930 (beta/C-type, S22W56) also was the source of three >C5
flares. Further C-class activity is expected, with a good chance
for another low-M flare in the following 24-hour period.

Solar activity has been at a moderate-to-low level since the last
message. The largest event was an M1.9 flare at 00:33 UT today
from the South East portion of Yesterday's region NOAA 13928.
This region has been newly numbered as NOAA 13932 and
classified as a beta/D-type sunspot group as it completely rotated
on disk over the South East limb. Today the target shall switch to
13932 (also with NOAA 13928 in the field of view). NOAA 13928
has increased its magnetic complexity to be classified as a
beta-gamma/D-type magnetic configuration. Further C-class activity
is expected, with a chance for an isolated low-M flare in the coming
24 hours.

flare - an M2.5 flare at 11:15 UT today. This region retains a
beta/D-type sunspot group, with the emergence of new negative
magnetic fluxes in its intermediate portion. 13928 shall remain as
the target. In addition, NOAA 13924 (beta-gamma/E-type, S19W89)
also produced an M2.1 flare at 07:20 UT today. Further C-class
activity is expected, with a good chance for additional low-M flares
in the following 24 hours.

Solar activity has increased to a moderate level since the
last message. The target region has been numbered as
NOAA 13928 and 13927 (S08E54, beta/D-type). 13928 was
the most productive region and produced two low-M and a
dozen C-class flares, with the largest being an M3.8 flare at
15:27 UT yesterday. It has been classified as a beta/D-type
magnetic configuration. Today the target shall continue as
13928 (with NOAA 13927 in the field of view). Note that NOAA
13924 (beta-gamma/E-type, S18W83) was also the source of
an M1.7 flare at 10:21 yesterday. Further C-class activity is
expected, with a good chance for another low-M flare in the
following 24 hours.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has increased to an intermediate level since the last message.
The largest event was a C8.2 flare at 07:22 UT today from an
unnumbered region near the South East limb. This region also produced
seven ~C2-C6
flares and was the most productive region. It appears to be a (at least)
bipolar sunspot group. Today the target shall switch to this limb region from
NOAA 13917. 13917 has already rotated beyond the South West limb.
Note that NOAA 13920 (N19W70) also produced two ~C3 flares. More
low-C activities are expected, with another high-C flare very likely in the
next 24 hours.
The approximate position of the target on 18-Dec-2024 at 12:30 UT is:
