The level of solar activity is low-to-moderate. NOAA region 12473
grew significantly in spot area over the previous 24 hours. This
region is now classified as a beta-gamma/E-type sunspot group and
again produced the largest flare since the last message - an M1.1
on 24-Dec-2015 at 01:49 UT. Further C-class activity is expected,
with a good chance for additional low-to-mid M-class flares.

Solar activity is at a moderate level. NOAA 12473 continued to grow
in spot area over the past 24 hours, displaying a beta-delta/D-type
classification before producing the largest flare of the period (an
M4.7 on 23-Dec-2015 at 00:23 UT). However, this region may have now
lost its delta-spot configuration because of the opposite polarity
umbrae no longer having a common penumbra. More C-class activity is
expected, with a good chance for another low-to-mid M-class flare.

The level of solar activity is moderate. NOAA region 12470 has decayed
over the past 24 hours. Yesterday's target region is now designated as
NOAA 12472 and was first classified as an alpha/H-type sunspot group.
This region now appears to have at least a beta magnetic class, with
extensive trailing plage. In the past 24 hours, another region rotated
over the South East limb and is designated as NOAA 12473. This region
has grown since becoming visible and produced the largest flare since
the last message (an M1.6 on 22-Dec-2015 at 03:15 UT). NOAA 12473 was
initially classified as a beta/C-type sunspot group, but this should
be revised to (at least) a D-type region as the leading and trailing
spots each have mature penumbrae. More C-class activity is expected,
with a good chance for additional low-to-mid M-class flares.

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity is at low-to moderate levels. NOAA 12470 continues to
be the largest spotted region on the visible disk, but has remained
flare quiet over the past 24 hours. The new region now rotating over
the North East limb has continued to produce several C-class flares
and two partially occulted M-class flares (an M2.8 on 21-Dec-2015 at
00:52 UT and an M1.1 on 21-Dec-2015 at 10:09 UT). This region is too
close to the limb to determine structural or magnetic classification.
Further C-class activity is expected, with a good chance for another
low M-class flare.

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity has increased to the mid C-level since the last message
due to a resurgence from NOAA 12470 and the prospect of a new region
rotating onto the eastern limb. NOAA 12470 continues to decay but was
the source of a C4.5 flare at 21:49 UT yesterday. It shall continue to
be the target region with further C-level activity possible.

message was a C3.1 flare at 01:59 UT today from NOAA 12468. The target
region NOAA 12470 produced a C1.6 flare at 10:40 UT and continues to
show signs of decay. Additional isolated low-level events possible.

Solar activity has increased slightly since the last message. A C4.6
flare occurred at 04:55 UT today due to interactions between the
target region NOAA 12470 and NOAA 12469. The target region itself
retains its beta/E-type configuration and may produce additional
isolated low-level events over the next 24 hours. Also include NOAA
12469 in your field of view if possible.

Quiet-Sun conditions continue. The target region NOAA 12470 was the
source of two C1 flares today at 05:29 and 12:22 UT. The region
appears mostly unchanged in terms of size and complexity since the
last message, retaining it's beta/E-type configuration. Additional
isolated low-level events possible.

NOAA 12468 was the source of an unexpected C6.6 flare at 08:34 UT
today, due to a possible filament eruption. The target region NOAA
12470 has remained quiescent since the last message, and continues to
show signs of decay in its trailing portion. No significant activity
expected from the target region over the next 24 hours.

Solar activity remains at very low levels. The target region NOAA
12470 produced a handful of B-class flares since the last message. The
overall region appears to be decaying, but the negative polarity
leader spots appear to be merging. Only isolated low-level events
possible at this time.
