Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Target region NOAA 1944 was the source of numerous
C-class events and two low-level M-class events in the
past 24 hours. 1944 has decayed somewhat losing its
magnetic delta configuration that was located within the
northern portion of the large leading sunspot but 1944
remains a large F-type/beta-gamma region. M-class
events likely in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 1944 on January 03 at 12:30 UT is:

MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
NOAA 1936, S16W59, produced a surprise major
M9.9 event at 01/01/18:52 UT. 1936 was displaying signs
of decay before the M9 event and the region has continued
to decay losing significant sunspot count and area and
magnetic complexity following the M9 event. Target region
now numbered NOAA 1944 is a very large and magnetically
complex E-type/beta/gamma-delta region but only managed to produce an
isolated M1.7 and a C9.5 today. It is likely that
1944 will produce M-class activity with the chance of a =/>M5 event.
The position of NOAA 1944 on January 02 at 16:30 UT is:

MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Former target region NOAA 1936, S16W46, produced a significant
M6.4 event at 12/31/21:58 UT. The region developed a small
but strong delta configuration yesterday. 1936 has
decayed somewhat since the M6 event but it still could produce
another M-class event. The east limb target region has now
partially rotated over the southeastern limb displaying a large
leader sunspot with a few intermediate sunspots following it.
The region is too close to the limb to ascertain its magnetic
configuration but it appears that it has mixed polarities. It is
currently the brightest plage on the visible disk. C-class events
expected with an M-class event likely in the next 24 hours.
The position of the target on January 01, 2014 at 15:45 UT is:

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Target region NOAA 1936, S16W29, is mostly unchanged.
1936 was the source of minor C-class activity since the
last message. There remains a chance that 1936 could
produce an isolated M-class event but a new region located
beyond the southeastern limb was the source of a limb
occulted C8.8 event at 12/31/11:50 UT. There is currently
a large post-flare loop prominence system visible
on the southeast limb. The target will switch to the new east
limb target today. Additional limb activity is possible in
the next 24 - 48 hours.
The approximate position of the target on Dec. 31 at 15:30UT is:

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Target region NOAA 1936 has developed since the last message.
1936 is currently displaying a large E-type/beta-gamma sunspot
group with a weak magnetic delta configuration located within its
intermediate area where there is also a well defined
arch-type-filament system and bright H-alpha plage. 1936 was
the source of several C-type events in the past 24 hours.
The largest was a C5.4 at 12/29/19:30 UT. Additional C-class
events expected with the chance of an isolated M-class event
in the next 24 hour period.
The position of NOAA 1936 on December 30 at 12:30 UT is:

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is low-to-moderate. NOAA regions 11934
and 11936 have both emerged new magnetic flux in the past 24 hours.
11934 has been re-designated by NOAA as a beta-gamma-delta/E-type
sunspot group, but has only produced a C2.6 flare since yesterday's
message. 11936 has maintained its beta-gamma/E-type sunspot group
classification but continues to strengthen the mixed polarity spots
in the intermediate portion. This region has produced seven C-class
flares since yesterday's message, and an M3.1 flare on 29-Dec-2013
at 07:49 UT. Further C-class activity is expected over the next 24
hours, with a good chance for another low M-class flare.
The position of NOAA 11936 on 29-Dec-2013 at 19:30 UT is:

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a low level. NOAA 11934 and 11936 have both
retained a beta-gamma magnetic classification and shown minor signs
of evolution since yesterday's message. Both regions have continued
to produce C-class activity, with NOAA 11936 being the source of the
largest magnitude flare in the past 24 hours (a C4.4 on 27-Dec-2013
at 12:08 UT). NOAA 11936 will remain the target, as this region has
shown strengthening of its intermediate mixed-polarity spots. More
C-class events are likely over the next 24 hours.

both classed as beta-gamma magnetic configurations and both produced
low C-class flares since yesterday's message. NOAA 11396 remains the
target, since this region has grown in spot area and number of spots
over the past 24 hour period. Further C-class events are probable in
the following 24 hours.

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity remains at a low level. NOAA region 11928 has now fully
rotated over the South West limb. NOAA 11936 has emerged new magnetic
flux in its trailing spot region over the past 24 hours. 11936 was the
source of 2 low C-class flares since yesterday's message (a C1.7 flare
on 25-Dec-2013 at 16.28 UT and a C1.3 flare on 26-Dec-2013 at 08:09 UT).
Further C-class activity is likely over the next 24 hours, with a small
chance for a low M-class flare if NOAA 11936 continues to emerge new
magnetic flux.

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar activity has returned to a low level. NOAA 11928 has now rotated
over the South West limb, having previously displayed beta-gamma/D-type
sunspot group characteristics. This region continued to produce C-class
activity, totaling 4 C-class events since yesterday's message (including
the largest magnitude flare, a C4.7 on 25-Dec-2013 at 06:34 UT). Further
C-class events are probable over the following 24 hours, with a small
chance for an isolated low M-class flare before the higher-lying loops
of NOAA 11928 rotate completely beyond the limb.
