MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The target will continue to be the active region complex
NOAA 1785/87. Both regions have increased in sunspot
area and sunspot count and both regions have small
magnetic delta configurations. The largest event in the
past 24 hours was a C8.9 event at 07/04/00:08 UT
produced by 1785. If the target area is too large
for your telescope's F-O-V, the single region target will be
NOAA 1785 for at least the next 24 hours. If 1787 continues
to develop, it will most likely become tomorrow's target.
Both regions have the potential to produce an M-class event
in the next 24 hours.

MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
A new small region (NOAA 1787) located on the southeastern
limb was the source of an isolated M1.5 event at
07/03/07:08 UT. The region is too close to the limb to
ascertain its magnetic configuration. The target region
(NOAA 1785) has increased its sunspot area and count
and developed a magnetic delta configuration within the
northern portion of its large leader sunspot. 1785 is now
classified as an E-type/beta-gamma-delta region. If possible,
include both 1785 and 1787 within your F-O-V. Another
M-class event possible from 1785 and/or 1787 in the next
24 hour period. The primary target today will continue to be 1785.

MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Southeastern limb target region (now numbered NOAA 1785)
was the source of numerous minor B-class events
in the past 24 hours. 1785 is a large sunspot group with
an apparent beta magnetic configuration. The trailing portion
of the region is still too close to the limb to positively determine
its magnetic configuration. B- and C-class events probable
in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 1785 on July 02 at 13:00 UT is:

MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Target region NOAA 1781, N19W39, is mostly unchanged
and was quiescent since the last message. The target
will switch to a large region rotating over the southeastern
limb. The new target region is too close to the limb to ascertain
its magnetic configuration. The region was the source of a
limb occulted C1.8 event at 07/01/15:16 UT. Similar activity
possible in the next 24 hours.
The approximate position of the target on July 01 at 12:00 UT is:

MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Target region NOAA 1778, S17W22, has decayed significantly
since the last message. It is now nearly spotless. 1778 did
manage to produce a C1.5 event at 06/30/09:18 UT. Recently
emerged NOAA 1781 slowly developed a D-type/beta-gamma sunspot group
yesterday and will become today's default target.
1781 was the source of a minor C1.1 event at 06/29/16:09 UT.
Another C-class event is possible in the next 24 hours.

MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
NOAA 1778 developed a negative polarity sunspot
just north and slightly east of the original positive
polarity leader. The region has decayed somewhat
in its trailing area. 1778 remains classified as an E-type/beta
region. 1778 was the source of a C1.6 event at 06/28/17:05 UT.
The brightest region on the visible disk is recently emerged
NOAA 1781 located at N22W12. It is currently classified
as a D-type/beta region. The target will continue to be NOAA
1778. A C-class event is possible from 1778 and/or 1781 in
the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 1778 on June 29 at 13:00 UT is:
S17W07 (Solar X = 110", Solar Y = -319")

1778 has decayed since the last message
losing its beta-gamma magnetic configuration. Another
C-class event is possible in the next 24 hour period.

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar flare activity remains at a very low level. The
target region (NOAA 1775, S26W78) continues to
decay. NOAA 1778 has minor emerging flux within its
trailing plage area which is adding to its magnetic
complexity resulting in an E-type/beta-gamma classification.
The target region will switch from 1775 to 1778 today.
1778 was the source of a minor C1.2 event at 06/27/08:14 UT.
Another C-class event is possible in the next 24 hours.

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar flare activity continues at a very low level. All regions
on the visible disk are currently in advanced decay phase.
Target region NOAA 1775 was able to produce minor events
since the last message. The largest was a C1.0 at
06/25/23:57 UT. No significant change in the level of
solar flare activity expected anytime soon.

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Solar flare activity has returned to a very low level.
All regions on the visible solar disk are decaying.
NOAA 1778 has significantly decayed after it produced
the M2.9 and C9.9 events. The most active region in
the past 24 hours was NOAA 1775. 1775 is currently
classified as a C-type/beta-gamma region. It was the
source of two minor C-class events. We will switch
from 1778 to 1775 today. Another C-class event is possible.
