Dear Collaborators,
Target region NOAA 3270 (D-type/beta gamma S23W41) is
decaying, losing sunspot area, sunspot count, and magnetic
complexity. 3270 produced a lone C1.0 event at 04/05/04:18 UT.
The target will switch to a region located beyond the southeast
limb that was the source of four limb occulted C-class events.
The largest two were a C1.8 at 04/05/12:17 UT and a C1.8.
at 04/05/17:52. Additional C-class events possible in the
next 24 hours. There is only a slight chance of an isolated
low-level M-class event.
The approximate position of the target on April 05 at 15:45 UT is:
S26E90 (-862", -417")

Dear Collaborators,
Target region NOAA 3270 decayed in its
intermediate portion and developed within
its leading and trailing portions of its
D-type/beta-gamma sunspot group. Earlier in
the UT day there were a few tiny magnetic delta
configurations visible. 3270 was the source of
several C-class events since the last message.
The largest was a C2.8 at 04/03/23:53 UT.
C-class events likely with a slight chance of an
isolated M-class event.

Dear Collaborators,
The target region now numbered NOAA 3270 displayed rapid
growth on April 02. There are mixed polarities within the
northern intermediate portion of its D-type/beta-gamma
sunspot group. It is possible that a magnetic delta
configuration may develop in this location. 3270 was the
source of numerous minor B-class events and four
C-class events. The largest was a C3.4 at 04/02/23:13.
Additional C-class events likely with an isolated M-class
event possible if 3270 continues to develop - especially
if a delta configuration emerges in the north central area.

The level of solar activity is low. Target region NOAA 13262
has been stable in terms of sunspot area and number of spots
since the last message. This region has remained classified
as an alpha/H-type sunspot group, and was flare quiet in the
period. A new spot region is in the process of emerging near
the central meridian, with early indications that it will be
a beta magnetic configuration. This new region becomes the
new target. C-class flares are possible over the following
24-hour period.

Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity is at a low level. The high-lying loops of target
NOAA 13256 have now rotated out of view over the South West limb.
This region was likely the beyond-the-limb source of the largest
flare since the last message, a footpoint-occulted C9.7 flare on
31-Mar-2023 at 20:39 UT. At this point we are terminating the
MM#003 Major Flare Watch. Of the active regions remaining on the
visible disk, NOAA 13262 (classified as an alpha/H-type sunspot
group) has produced the most recent flare - a C1.3 on 1-Apr-2023
at 06:59 UT. This region becomes the new target. Further C-class
activity is probable in the next 24 hours.

The level of solar activity is moderate-to-low. Target region NOAA
13256 has rotated just over the North West limb and was classified
as a beta/C-type sunspot group at the start of the UT day (but the
classifications will have been severely impacted by foreshortening
effects so close to the limb). NOAA 13256 has continued to produce
C-class flares since the last message, while the largest magnitude
flare in the period (a C4.4 on 31-Mar-2023 at 09:02 UT) came from
the limb-exiting location of NOAA 13260. The current MM#003 Major
Flare Watch on NOAA 13256 will continue for a further 24 hours as
its high-lying loops remain in Earth-view. More C-class flares are
expected over the following 24-hour period with a small chance for
another >M5 flare.

Solar activity is at a high level. Target NOAA 13256 showed
a decrease in sunspot area and longitudinal extent since the
last message to be classified as a beta-gamma/E-type sunspot
group, but the designations will have been affected by limb
foreshortening to some degree. This region has continued to
be flare productive, being the source of C-class flares and
the largest flare in the period - a M5.4 on 30-Mar-2023 at
07:24 UT. The MM#003 Major Flare Watch that is on NOAA 13256
was successful in catching this >M5 flare and will continue
to be in effect. Further C-class flares are expected in the
next 24 hours, with a chance for another flare >M5 as NOAA
13256 rotates up to the West limb.

The level of solar activity is high. Target region NOAA 13256 grew
in spot area and longitudinal extent since the last message, being
reclassified as a beta-gamma/F-type sunspot group. This region has
continued to be the most flare-productive region, being the source
of multiple C-class flares and the largest flare in the period - a
X1.2 on 29-Mar-2023 at 02:18 UT. At this point we are initiating a
MM#003 Major Flare Watch on NOAA 13256. C-class flares are expected
over the following 24-hour period, with a chance for another flare
>M5 as NOAA 13256 rotates towards to the West limb.

sunspot group. NOAA 13256 continued to produce flaring activity during the
period, totaling 5 C-class events that includes the largest flare - a C4.6
on 27-Mar-2023 at 06:20 UT. Additional C-class flares are expected over the
following 24-hour period.
