MM#003 Major Flare Watch
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Target region NOAA 1263 was the source of several C-class events in the past 24 hour period. It is now too close to the west limb to ascertain its magnetic configuration but earlier in the period it still had a beta-gamma-delta magnetic classification. 1263 is maintaining bright H-alpha plage with some minor surging over the delta configuration. Another event =>M5 is not as likely but still possible in the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 1263 on August 10 at 15:30 UT is: N17W90 (Solar X = 904", Solar Y = 274")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
