Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has persisted at an intermediate-low level since the last message. The previous target region is now resolved as a pair of active regions numbered NOAA 13976 and NOAA 13977, respectively. NOAA 13976 produced the largest flare of the last 24 hours, which was a C4.9 at 13:03 UT today. This region continues to show signs of emerging flux as it moves further onto the disk. NOAA 13976 will now be the target region, with further C-class activity expected.
The position of NOAA 13976 on 28-January-2025 at 12:30 UT is:
N13E75, (-917", 242") See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.
