Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has been at a moderate-to-low level since the last message. The largest event was an M1.9 flare at 00:33 UT today from the South East portion of Yesterday's region NOAA 13928. This region has been newly numbered as NOAA 13932 and classified as a beta/D-type sunspot group as it completely rotated on disk over the South East limb. Today the target shall switch to 13932 (also with NOAA 13928 in the field of view). NOAA 13928 has increased its magnetic complexity to be classified as a beta-gamma/D-type magnetic configuration. Further C-class activity is expected, with a chance for an isolated low-M flare in the coming 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 13932 on 21-Dec-2024 at 12:30 UT is:
S18E55 (-761", -285")
